Launch Gig Streamed Live From This Website

Album Launch Gig at The CasaAmazing news this, and a real experiment for me.

But the launch gig on Friday 28th August 2009 will be beamed live from The Casa to this website.

Now its an experiment, and we’ve never done it before, but we’re going to give it a go.

There’s a chance it won’t work – that’s the nature of experiments. But we expect that it will.

So if you’re too far away to get to the gig in person, then don’t fret.

Put the kettle on, get yourself a nice cup of tea, and settle down in front of your PC to listen in live.

Click here to go to the Live Stream page (although there’s now a Live Stream link on the top menu of the site too).

The stream will start just before 8pm on Friday when the first act will be on stage.

Big thanks to Nigel from Madbouncydogs for doing the streaming.

Big thanks to Graham and all from Liverpool Acoustic Live for co-hosting the launch gig.

For those who can get there in person, its at The Casa, 29 Hope Street, Liverpool at 7.30pm on Friday 28 August 2009 and is completely FREE to get in. Early entry is advised.

A Performer At The Top Of His Game

Alun Parry (picture by Sharon Latham)Another review of the new album ‘We Can Make The World Stop’ has arrived on my desk, this time from the influential Liverpool Acoustic website.

They write:

“The album is a real gem from a performer, songwriter and storyteller at the top of his game.

Alun is not afraid to write and sing about the subjects that matter (or at least should matter) to all of us, and it’s this at which he truly excels.

Forget James Dean – Alun Parry is a rebel with a cause and he sings it loud and proud.”
