Lefty music fans are in for a treat this weekend as the lovely Roy Bailey helps launch the new Radical Liverpool night at Studio 2.
Just wanted to post a blog to thank everyone who attended the Roy Bailey show at the Woody Guthrie Folk Club last week.
He was boss wasn’t he. I do love Roy. He’s such a lovely fella and a great singer.
My gig supporting Roy Bailey tomorrow (Thu) is now sold out.
So only come along if you’ve already sorted your tickets out as there’ll be no entry on the door.
We really are completely packed out.
Liverpool Acoustic have produced a wonderful 9-track podcast featuring some of the wonderful artists playing at my Working Class Life & Music Festival.
A big thanks to the ever brilliant Graham Holland at Liverpool Acoustic who put this great podcast together.
I will be playing support to the legendary Roy Bailey at the Woody Guthrie Folk Club on Thursday 28 April 2011.
The special guest booking is as part of the Working Class Life & Music Festival taking place in the city from the 22nd to 30th April.
This song isn’t mine but I love it and so sung it last night at the Woody Guthrie Folk Club that I run.
I learned the song from listening to the wonderful Roy Bailey, but it was written by a tremendous songwriter named Si Kahn.
Thanks to all who came out last night for the Roy Bailey gig at the Liverpool Folk and Roots Festival.
Congratulations to The Random Family for curating such a great new festival. (You can catch their festival gig on Saturday at St Brides Church in Percy Street).
On Tuesday 24th November I’ll be supporting the fantastic Roy Bailey in Liverpool.
The gig is (amazingly) free entry as part of the Liverpool Folk and Roots Festival.
I’ve got a spare two minutes so thought I’d update everyone on where I’m up to.
Sorry for being so neglectful but if you’ve ever seen one of those blue arsed flies from the proverbs, I’ve been impersonating one.
