Hang Me Oh Hang Me

Film still from Inside Llewyn DavisI went to see the Coen Brothers film Inside Llewyn Davies the other day.

It’s a film about the trials and tribulations of a folk singer, so you can see why it appealed.

Anyhow, the film began with a belter of a song that I’ve been singing ever since.

Today I put my phone recorder on in my living room and sung into it.

So here it is. My version of the song Hang Me Oh Hang Me recorded scruffily on my phone. I hope you like it.

Ah, I wondered what you would think of this movie. Does life on the road ever get that desperate? I need to see it again to see if the end matches up with the beginning as it seemed slightly skewered to me. The music was good though.

    Hi Maylin

A movie about a failing folk singer, I can’t think why I’d be attracted to that one!! :-)

Life on the road can be tricky at times. Every tour has its horror stories haha.

It was fairly realistic I felt. It was a bit depressing really in some ways.

The music was great!! Even had a bit of Ewan McColl.
