March 12th Single Release: The Dirty Thirty

On March 12th this year, the anniversary of the official start of the Miner’s Strike, I will be releasing my brand new single The Dirty Thirty.

The Dirty Thirty tells the heroic story of 30 Leicestershire miners and their families. These were the only miners in the whole of Leicestershire to come out on strike.

Their opponents snarlingly branded them The Dirty Thirty, a name they proudly took for themselves.

It is a story of great courage and I have since met a number of those involved, most notably Malcolm Pinnegar who is mentioned in the final verse of the song.

Please help spread the word that this single is being released. This is a story that deserves a wider audience than I can usually muster alone.

The single will be released digitally on iTunes and other digital platforms.
