New Song Demo: Stick Around For Longer

There is a concept in psychology that refers to a limited life script. This is when a person sets themselves up to live a short life, and then they ensure it comes true, either through self neglect, self destructive behaviour, or actively ending their life themselves.

Usually it is the most beautiful of souls who curtail themselves in this way. They are people who are sensitive, open and giving.

Others will look at them and see someone who makes the world so much richer by being in it. How can this person, of all people, be someone in so much pain that they organise an early death for themselves?

How can they not be aware of all the love there is in the world for them? How can they not find a pathway so the love reaches them, truly touches them, so they feel it.

No doubt this is why so many are perplexed by the attempted suicides of someone as treasured as Stephen Fry.

Yet we are all treasured. And those of us who see our lives as ending before nature herself intended are treasured too. We often don’t feel our own worth, but we are worthy nonetheless.

We need to find a way to stick around for longer. If this is you too, I hope that you will.
