Writing on the Wall Highlights + Special Offer
Make sure you check out the excellent offerings at the Writing on the Wall festival currently running in Liverpool.
Tonight (13 May) sees my mate Clare Campbell launching her book of poetry at Blackburne House on Hope Street.
Music fans will be particularly interested in what is happening on Saturday.
At 6pm at the Contemporary Urban Centre there is a Music Panel – From Generation X to the X Factor: Real Music Lost In The Mix?
The panel features Don Letts (broadcaster, The Rebel Dread), Kevin Sampson (writer, ex manager of The Farm), Jon Morter (the guy who set up the Rage Against The Machine campaign), Martin O’ Shea (manager of Atomic Kitten), and our own Phil Hayes of the Picket.
Tickets are available from The Phil box office. You get 2 for the price of 1 if you quote the word “WOW” when you order.
Not just that, but in the evening at The Picket is the Legends gig.
Levi Tafari, The Beat, Don Letts line up for a monster of a night. Again, get your tickets from The Phil.
There is also a special combined price for those attending both the gig and the panel.
