Southern Dates Pulled
It’s a long story, largely to do with ridiculous train prices and a few other things, but I can no longer get to my dates down South. I’m fed up as I was really looking forward to them, but that’s privatised rail services for you. Bring back British Rail!

“I was coming to your music nights” said Eddie, “and I knew that I liked you. And I thought you’d be a good person to have as a friend. But the thing is Al, you’re not an easy person to become friends with.”
Yes folks, my tour of the UK continues apace this weekend with two shows on the South coast (or thereabouts).
I used to be a perfectionist but I’m not now.
So, I’m ordering my dinner at my favourite cafe when, out of the blue, the smiley woman serving me says: “Ah you’re really nice you, Alun.”
I’ve two gigs this week to tell you about.
“Come on bus! Come on!”
Boundaries have never been my strong point.
I’ve been feeling pretty purposeless of late – an unusual feeling for me. I typically wake up enthused by a to-do list waiting to be worked through, and projects to get done. Lately though, there’s a real sense of drift.
I’m delighted to be playing the prestigious Hebden Bridge Trades Club Folk Roots Festival on the 9th November.
